Coping during a pandemic (Covid-19)
We recognise that mental health is only one part of the broader wellbeing picture. Te Whare Tapa Wha is a model of care that recognises that the wharenui (meeting house) is a symbolic representation of the four cornerstones essential to wellbeing: taha wairua (spiritual health), taha hinengaro (mental health), taha tinana (physical health), and taha whānau (family health).
In this resource, we've peered well-established coping strategies, arts therapeutic tools and Te Whare Tapa Whā to create a series of printable COVID coping cards. We invite you to use all eight cards and their corresponding arts therapeutic directives to create your own symbolic wellbeing wharenui.
